Term 5

It has been a busy and exciting term! The Year 6 children showed great determination during their SATs, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and positive attitude. We have also enjoyed learning about the Maya Civilisation and have loved seeing the creativity shown in the Maya homework projects and the enthusiasm during auditions for our upcoming production of Moana Jr. More information about the production will follow in Term 6.

Term 4

This Term, the children have been inspired by Shackleton’s incredible journey to Antarctica, using this as a stimulus for their writing in English. In Science, we have been learning about materials and their properties and the children have enjoyed being scientists and conducting experiments. We have also been using Scratch in our Computing lessons, to learn more about programming. 
We hope you all have a restful Easter break and we look forward to seeing the children back for Term 5!

We have had another busy term with lots of exciting learning. The children have been learning all about famous code breakers and once again we have been incredibly impressed with their homework projects. In English this term, we have been writing a variety of text types based on the book 'The Phone Booth in Mr. Hirota's Garden'.
